Brief: The COVID-19 pandemic negatively affected education and literacy nationwide. To address and improve New Hampshire's reading proficiency, NHED hired Güd Marketing to create a campaign encouraging a love of reading across the state.
Campaign Scope
Based on a statewide literacy survey, our team collaborated with NHED to create NHLovesReading, a comprehensive campaign. Featuring dynamic, colorful designs and the tagline “A Love of Reading Starts With One Word,” the campaign used an upbeat tone to highlight the importance of early reading. I worked on various strategies including social media, influencers, digital displays, videos, a website, OTT, and billboards.




Results
Güd Marketing’s campaign with NHED has greatly enhanced awareness, understanding, and engagement in early reading across the state. A post-campaign survey showed that 1 in 3 parents of children ages 0-8 remembered seeing the campaign in the past year. These parents reported reading more frequently or for longer periods to their children. Additionally, many appreciated the confirmation that their existing reading and literacy practices were beneficial.
